I’ve been reading short stories lately, and here are links to a few famous ones online :<\/p>\n

– The diamond necklace (Guy de Maupassant)<\/a>
– Hills like white elephants (Hemingway)<\/a>
– A clean well-lighted place (Hemingway)<\/a>
– A good man is hard to find (Flannery O’Connor)<\/a>
– The open window (H.H.Munro)<\/a><\/p>\n

I haven’t been able to find “Cathedral” (Raymond Carver) online. Out of the above, “The diamond necklace” is my absolute favorite. I’d read it many years ago in a volume of Maupassant’s collected short stories, and the online one seems to have slightly different language. Nonetheless, the story loses none of it’s impact.<\/div>\n
