A day later, I can hear the NDTV anchor gush \u201c Well, we still can\u2019t get over the Slumdog win\u201d \u2013 and more of the same. Ah, well !<\/p>\n<p>On CNN, reading a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2009\/SHOWBIZ\/Movies\/02\/19\/pre.oscar.roundup\/index.html\">similar story<\/a>, I see Jamaal\u2019s character described as a \u201cteaboy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><em>The hero of &#8220;Slumdog Millionaire,&#8221; a poverty-raised teaboy seeking his lost love, works his way through the questions on the game show &#8220;Who Wants to Be a Millionaire&#8221; knowing that, at any time, he can lose and walk away with nothing.<br \/><\/em><br \/>Quaint \u2013 that word \u201cteaboy\u201d. I look it up on the net. Dictionary.com doesn\u2019t have \u201cteaboy\u201d but the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbandictionary.com\/\">urban dictionary<\/a> does :<\/p>\n<p><em>1. tea boy<br \/>(n.) The newest entrant to a business place, who is forced to do degrading tasks and mainly runs around after everybody else. Also called a charwola.<br \/><\/em><br \/>A \u201ccharwola\u201d indeed ! And I wonder how Jagannath became <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Juggernaut\">juggernaut<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/11570614-6277737832366763919?l=reviewroom.blogspot.com\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After Slumdog swept the Oscars, everyone is on the SM-mania.
