This year was a bad one for big banner desi films. They crashed and burned all over the place. From the clich\u00e9d \u201cLaaga Chunari mein daag\u201d to the over-hyped \u201cSaawariya\u201d and \u201cOm shanti Om\u201d the terrible films kept coming. Even old worthies failed to come through \u2013 case in point, Vidhu Vinod Chopra with \u201cEklavya\u201d. Thankfully, this year I\u2019ve been kinder to self, by not seeing the worst of the worst. Thus, have been saved from stuff like \u201cRGV ki Aag\u201d, and \u201cCash\u201d. Still, it\u2019s not like I don\u2019t have enough to pick and choose while making this list. So here goes \u2013 my top picks for the worst films of 2007 (that I have seen) :<\/p>\n

10. <\/strong>Om Shanti Om<\/strong><\/a> : This is the Dhoom2<\/a> of 2007. It\u2019s a little better than that, and the first half of the film saves it from being #1 on this list, but it\u2019s a bad film nevertheless. See the full review here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

9. <\/strong>Ta ra rum pum<\/strong><\/a> : You want annoying, immature, dumb ? Then this is it. Technically well-made this film flounders because of it\u2019s utter inability to comprehend what normal people call \u201ccommon sense\u201d. You still wanna know more<\/a> ?<\/p>\n

8. <\/strong>Traffic Signal<\/strong><\/a> : How tepid can you get ? This one left me unmoved and a film which leaves one unmoved is a big, big failure. Here are details<\/a>.<\/p>\n

7. <\/strong>Mera pehla pehla pyaar<\/strong><\/a> : I\u2019d have thought it cutesy if I\u2019d been 18. Now I think it annoying, and an exercise in imbecility. If you\u2019re above 21, keep away. Here\u2019s the complete review<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. <\/strong>Heyy Babyy<\/strong><\/a> : Stupid, sexist, crass \u2013 what more can I say ?<\/p>\n

5. <\/strong>Dhan Dhana dhan goal<\/strong><\/a> : A soccer drama apparently, this one suffers from poor quality, poor scripting and poor acting. Poor everything actually. The only actor worth watching here is John Abraham. And not for his acting skills. Read the complete review<\/a>.<\/p>\n

4. <\/strong>I see you<\/strong><\/a> : The brainchild of models Arjun Rampal and the Mrs. (Mehr that is), this is the film they conceived when they were optimists. Are they optimists now ? I think not.<\/p>\n

3. <\/strong>Partner<\/strong><\/a> : 6 words – Stupider, more sexist, crassier, David Dhawan.<\/p>\n

2. <\/strong>Apne<\/strong><\/a> : The Deol men weeping as one. I weeping by myself. Guess who\u2019s happier ?<\/p>\n

1. <\/strong>Eklavya<\/strong><\/a> : This one\u2019s earns the top spot because it promised a lot and gave zilch. Hyped to be the master\u2019s film, this film crashed and burnt like no other. It\u2019s not like bad, bad but really I expect better than mediocre from Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Chopra\u2019s lost it, and I\u2019m not sure if he knows it. Plus what\u2019s with nominating this piece-of-work for the Oscars ? Really, I want a refund of my movie ticket \u2013 I could do much better with $8 .<\/p>\n
